Salon Toro has the best ambiance and even better hairstylists. They make the environment so happy and welcoming. Amber always does my hair and goes above and beyond to make it the best experience every time! As someone with wavy and thick hair, she makes my hair feel so soft and perfect with her blowouts and hair glosses. There has never been a bad hair day having my hair done by her ❤️

I love Salon Toro in downtown Birmingham MI!! Marc, the owner is super nice! He scheduled me and gave a quick consultation, Thanks to him for showing such kind consideration! Sophie, my stylist, was wonderful! She is professional, knowledgable and friendly. She gave me a cut that sets great even when I let it dry wavy (makes life easier!) I love contrast of the highlights and the colors she created. I am so happy! Thank you Sophie for uplifting my winter mood! The salon is beautiful spacious and comfortable. I cant wait to go back to Salon Toro. They made my day! I wish them the best in 2026!

Amanda has been my hair stylist for years and following her to Salon Toro was an easy choice. This salon is beautiful and the energy in this salon is awesome. Amanda serves it straight(my fav kind of stylist) and is willing to make subtle or drastic changes-whatever you’re in the mood for! She will always make sure you leave the salon feeling better about yourself. I have extremely thick hair and she doesn’t miss a beat taking the time to color and dry it out with ease. This place was wonderful. I have been struggling with hair loss, and my hair had become super thin, fine and scraggly. You could see most of my scalp. I have been dealing with hairloss for around 2 years, and I've had some less than stellar experiences with hair salons, who've either made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable because they've voiced how "bad" my hair was. As if I was unaware.... This place was by far the best experience I've had in recent memory. Hands down. The stylist was extremely knowledgeable, efficient and by far the most understanding. I had left a note in my booking that I was experiencing hair loss, because I did not want the stylist to be surprised when I arrived. Ashley brought absolutely no unwanted attention to the state of my hair, and made me feel NORMAL and not embarrassed at all. She did a fantastic job of cutting and coloring my hair, so it would both look and still be healthy, even with a bit of color. For what little my hair had to offer, she made it work, and then some. I have booked a return appointment, because I am not interested in going to a different salon after this experience. I am taking minoxidil, so I am hoping to have much healthier and fuller hair when I return to this establishment, so that I can start to feel like myself again soon. Thank you Ashley, your wonderful assistants and the receptionists for making me feel normal (and even pretty). Y'all rock!

This was my first visit and it was the absolute best experience I’ve had at a salon in a very long time! Amber listened to exactly what I wanted and spent so much time on my hair. I was so pleasantly surprised how blonde she got me after one visit while keeping my hair healthy! Her assistant was so sweet and nice as well, they are such a great team! I will definitely be back!
